When you ask someone “how are you”, most of the time the response is the same.

“Good”

Sometimes, depending on your luck, you might get something else.

“Pretty good”

And on rare occasions contingent upon phases of the moon, you could even hear something totally different.

“Not bad.”

I believe asking “How are you” is a missed opportunity.
